In my experience, displaying confidence can be challenging at times for all students. There are going to be situations where you feel nervous or uncomfortable and that is when it is the hardest to act confidently. So if you feel this way you are not alone. I believe that in order to come off as a confident individual it is all about the mindset you have. For example, it is important as a student to always remember to just be yourself. Whether you are relaxing with friends, talking with a professor, or networking with a professional, you want to act like yourself because that will naturally make you feel more comfortable. Overall, I have found that just reminding myself to just be me no matter the situation always makes me feel good about myself, and that results in a display of confidence to others.
