Career Service Interns

Madelyn Sofranko, is a third year Accounting major in the Integrated Master of Accounting (iMAcc) program. She is also a Smeal Student Mentor and a Gold Member at Women in Business. Madelyn is part of the 2 + 2 program, and started her academic journey at Penn State Berks. In her free time, Madelyn enjoys reading, cardio and strength training. She is very excited to help as many students as possible become the best professional version of themselves!

Danawit is a third year Smeal student, majoring in Supply Chain and minoring in International Business. On campus, she is in the executive board for the Supply Chain Management Association, a brigadier in Global Business Brigades, a Smeal Student Mentor, and part of the Presidential Leadership Academy. In her free time, she loves watching movies, hiking, and swimming.

Shayna is a senior Finance major from Long Island, New York. She is a first-generation student and is passionate about helping others navigate their way through college. On campus, she is the marketing chair for FIRST@Smeal, a first-generation organization, the treasurer of Shades of Blue A Cappella, and a Smeal Student Mentor!

Daniel is a junior from South Jersey. He is pursuing a double major in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Information Systems Management. On campus he is a Smeal Student Mentor, a teaching assistant, and is in a social fraternity. In his free time, he likes to workout, hangout with friends and family, listen to music, and support Philly sports teams.

Sophie is a freshman from Brooklyn, NY, majoring in Finance and Accounting and minoring in Information Systems Management and International Business. Outside of class, she is involved in THON, Smeal Student Mentors, Pi Beta Phi, and serves as Director of Philanthropic Events for Alpha Kappa Psi. In her free time, she enjoys listening to Christmas music, podcasts, and travelling!

Matt is a sophomore majoring in Accounting with a minor in MIS. He co-founded and is currently the Vice President of the Penn State Auditing Association and a member of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity. Matt is interning for EY in summer 2027 within the firm’s assurance practice in New York City. In his free time, Matt enjoys watching sports, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. 

Maria is a third year Smeal student double majoring in Business Management & Political Science. On campus, she is involved in the Jared Project and CIES business club! In her free time she loves to cook and bake and watch movies with friends!
