Meet Tim Durant, a Senior SC&IS major. At his co-op at Johnson and Johnson, he had the opportunity to get Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified. He also had the chance to enhance his interpersonal, professional, and transactional skills and lead as the President of the Intern and Co-Op Association in West Chester. He was also able to enhance his Microsoft Excel skills as well as his communication skills through presentations of pr
ojects and learned analytical skills through error reporting.
His favorite part of the co-op at J&J was the people, they truly have the best culture and he felt welcome from the moment he stepped foot in the office. His advice to students seeking internships/co-ops is to just be yourself and be confident in who you are. Also, research the company you are looking for an internship with before you speak to them! Have questions for them as well and express your interest.
