This week’s Student Spotlight Intern is Supply Chain major Sarah Roman. This summer, Sarah interned The Hershey Company. On a typical day, Sarah would forecast individual SKU items for Hershey by using past trends as a guide, generate reports to demonstrate overstocks and rejections, and introduce promotional events into Hershey’s forecasts. She learned how to use Manugistics and SAP to forecast Hershey’s products as well as working as a team to achieve common goals. Her favorite part of the internship was being proud of the company she worked for because of all the opportunities to learn and grow as a person and professionally, as well as the charitable contributions Hershey employees are able to give back to the community.
