Intern Spotlight: Mackenzie Anderson

This week’s student spotlight intern is Mackenzie Anderson. Mackenzie is an incoming Junior majoring in Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This Summer, she was a Finance Intern at Johnson & Johnson in Raynham, Massachusetts. Mackenzie’s best advise for students is to not “be afraid to go after an internship in a field that you may not be as familiar with.” Before her internship with Johnson and Johnson, Mackenzie did not think of Finance as one of her strengths. However, by the end, she was able to challenge herself and improve her skills turning a weak spot into a strong suit.

Additionally, Mackenzie recommends getting involved in Smeal Organizations. She believes that her involvement with Women in Business was a major factor in her getting an internship with Johnson and Johnson after only her sophomore year. She says WIB allowed her to build “amazing connections with J&J employees and recruiters through dinners and interactive workshops.”
