Ali Chiavetta

Ali is a first-year graduate student in the Higher Education program. She is interning at Smeal alongside a graduate assistantship in Career Services located in the Bank of America building. She will complete her master’s program in May 2021.

Before coming to Penn State, Ali worked as a marketing manager for nearly 4 years at a small zoo outside of Philadelphia. There, she ran the zoo’s social media platforms, worked with advertisers, designed graphic pieces for print and digital formats, and started the zoo’s first-ever “Green Team”.

Before her professional career began, Ali attended Millersville University outside of Lancaster, PA and completing her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication with a specialization in Public Relations. During her time at Millersville, she worked in student housing for 3 years, sparking her passion for working with students.

In her free time, Ali enjoys being outside, reading, going to concerts, and listening to the latest alternative rock albums. She comes from a whole family of Penn Staters, so her favorite thing about PSU is being part of such a huge community!
