Preparing for the LSAT

Many professionals choose to attend law school to gain a competitive advantage in their careers. A legal education provides valuable knowledge in contracts, regulations, dispute resolution, and helping business leaders navigate complex challenges. Gaining admission to law school requires preparation, particularly for the LSAT, an essential part of the application process.

The LSAT has four sections:

  1. Logical Reasoning – Tests your ability to evaluate, analyze, and break down arguments (35 minutes).
  2. Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games) – Tests deductive reasoning skills through structured puzzles (35 minutes).
  3. Reading Comprehension  – Tests your ability to understand and analyze complex passages (35 minutes).
  4. Experimental Section – An unscored extra section used to test new questions (35 minutes).

The Writing Sample is separate from the main test. While it is not scored, it is sent to law schools (35 minutes).

The exam takes about three hours (which does not include 10 minute breaks and the writing sample).
