What is the External Job Feed on Nittany Lion Careers?
Basically, Nittany Lion Careers searches the web to find positions on employer websites (similar to other sites like Indeed.com). Once identified, a human reviewer evaluates the position and then makes it available to students for application.
How do I differentiate between the External Job Feed and jobs posted directly by employers?
If you wish to specifically search for jobs posted by the External Job Feed, simply go to Jobs>Search from your left menu and use the keyword search field using the term “external”.
*Note: by using this search method additional filters such as job function will not be available. We recommend using the regular Job Search function noted below, as external jobs will also populate the results!
Does this replace employer-posted opportunities?
Employers are still directly posting job opportunities! To search these positions, you are encouraged to go to Jobs>Search from the left menu, use the “More Filters” field (under the Keyword search field) to choose positions specifically connected to your majors (using the Desired Majors field).
