This week’s Student Spotlight Intern is Navjit Khaira. Navjit is senior majoring in Management Information Systems and he completed a Co-Op with Johnson & Johnson, in Janssen Pharmaceuticals with Planning & Customer Management. Navjit had many highlights throughout his internship. He collected data from SAP on a weekly basis to develop a color-coded Heatmap Dashboard in Excel which consolidated multiple SAP platforms providing a supply outlook for a product portfolio projected $22.9 Billion in net trade sales for 2019. Additionally, he generated weekly and monthly reports for the US Demand Planning Team for consensus demand reviews with Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain partners, researched and provided feedback for products flagged for potential destruction to destroy any products that cannot be sold, and gathered data from SAP and Customer ValueTrak Systems to generate days on hand report used to monitor the inventory supply of Pharmaceutical SKUs. Navjit says the services at the Business Career Center such as Mock Interviews and Resume Workshops were very helpful in securing his co-op. He says that his network and his participation in The Smeal Mentorship Program were big factors in his success. Navjit encourages students to participate in these activities!
