“I was a Marketing and Design Intern for Quality Life Services in Butler, PA. I found out about the internship opportunity from the QLS Facebook page where I was tagged on by a friend who knew I was in search for a Marketing Internship. In this internship I worked in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create logos, flyers, postcards, brochures, business cards and other marketing pieces. I also posted to all the Facebook pages run by the company. I learned a lot about these programs, the field of marketing and about myself in this internship. My favorite thing about this internship was working with my boss who was so talented when it came to the Adobe Creative Suite and was always so willing to help me make the best marketing pieces I could. If I had to give any advice to students looking for internships, it would be to make the connections now. Talk to people you know and tell them your major and what kind of internship you are looking for. Building that strong group of connections now will be the best way to secure a great internship and eventually a great job.” -Kelcy Kraus
